Local Sites in the North: Armley Tourist Board, North Haven Residents Association

September 20, 2009

I’ve added two Local Blogs from the North to the Nutshell directory.

Armley Tourist Board, Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire

The Armley Tourist Board is a tongue in cheek creation. It started life in 2005 as a way to celebrate the quirky charms and stories of Armley.

It was headed by the ’self appointed’ Lady Mayoress of Armley, until word reached her that her despotic ways were no longer charming, so in 2007 she decided to devolve power to the masses!

This website is for the people of Armley by the people of Armley.

North Haven Residents Association, North Haven Estate,Sunderland

This place is for all people living on the North Haven Estate in Sunderland.

We live in a beautiful part of the North East and the association has been running for nearly 10 years now. We want to continue to keep this a nice place to live.

Brockley Central, Brockley, London (* – Established 2007. Around 1000 postings)

The online home for all things Brockley (SE4), St John’s, Ladywell and Telegraph Hill Brockley Central is a community news and discussion site, which attempts to cover every aspect of life in Brockley, London SE4.

It was first published in February 2007 as a way of promoting the work of the Brockley Cross Action Group and the Brockley Common project, but it quickly grew to reflect the vibrancy of local life and the regeneration that the area is undergoing as a result of the East London Line extension.

    Deptford Dame, Deptford, London

Delights and devilry from deepest SE8.

Stay with me if you want to learn more about my manor. Ignore the slaggers, disregard the high street’s down-at-heel appearance, and come with me on a voyage around SE8. It will be a truly local experience, in the best possible meaning of the word.

    Transpontine, South East London

South East London blogzine – things that are happening, things that happened, things that should never have happened.
